Primary Job Function:

The overall purpose of the Sales Account Executive is to make contacts with referral sources within the medical community to promote NSI Hospice services through face to face education and interaction.

Job Relationships:
  • Reports to: Administrator
  • Workers Supervised: None
  • Interrelationships: Must interact with the agency staff, members of the medical community
    and the general public.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Visit hospitals, nursing homes, physicians/office staff, and other referral sources to present hospice information and educate on agency services.
  • Execute quality, effective sales calls to referral sources daily in order to generate referrals to the agency by clearly communicating the benefits of NSI Hospice.
  • Deliver informational visits to patients and families to explain hospice care and the benefits received.
  • Maintain a book of business that includes a defined territory of accounts.
  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding established personal monthly admission goals set by executive leadership.
  • Complete required administrative duties including but not limited to: pre- and post-call planning and documentation, email and phone communication, expense reports/tracking, time sheets, and medical director time sheets.
  • Participate in inter-agency education, meetings, and communication.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; degree in business, management, nursing, or healthcare preferred. RN or LPN license preferred but not required.
  • Training and Experience: Prior healthcare sales or related field experience required, preferably 3+ years and/or experience in the Lafayette, LA area.
  • Job Knowledge: Must have extensive knowledge of all services provided by the agency to its patients and the benefits provided to referral sources for using NSI Hospice.

  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Must have own form of transportation, valid driver’s license, and able to drive
